Who am I

       My name is Doria, and I am a master in NYU.  My major is Music Education in Piano. 

       I like music very much. I also like to sing the song.But I think I like travel more ! I love the sea ,the sunshine and the beach.I like to sit on the beach all the day and do nothing just meditation . And I can feel the sunshine ,the wind ,the taste of the air at the same time.

I began to play piano when I  was a little girl. But sometimes I think  my mother love it more than me . My favorite instrument is  Guqin.

       Do you know Guqin? It's a seven-stringed plucked instrument. 
Musical instrument, chess, calligraphy and painting are four representations of classical Chinese culture. Musical Instrument, namely “Guqin”, ranking the first among the four, has had a history of 3000 years. As 

the old saying goes, Guqin is a way of expressing feelings. 

        It conveys one’s  ideas and implies one’s nature. Since ancient times, guqin has been the best way for people to express feelings, moderate mindsets and seek inner-peace.

    On November 7th, 2003, the UNESCO announced at its headquarter in Paris the second list of “Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity”, among which was the Chinese Guqin art. Guqin, as the oldest Chinese stringed instrument, is recognized to be vividly reflecting the essence of the heritage of Chinese culture. It has become the representative of the deep, restrained and far-reaching charm of the oriental culture. 

      Such recognitions brought great honor to the Chinese people; however, it also posed a thought-provoking problem:  why, despite its noble status in ancient China, is Guqin requiring such urgent protection by the international community? Has it lost its popularity in China?

      Fewer and fewer people can play Guqin, the culture of Guqin may disappear after a few years. So I want to advertise the culture of Guqin and show Guqin to more people.Also I will very happy to teach someone who interested in Guqin.

        I don't like to talk with strangers and that make me  very uncomfortable. when I stay with my honey friends or some people who is familiar with me, I always have a lot of word to say.
